We are making cupcakes. Mason is in charge, Im just helping out where needed. He gets out the cup for the 1/3 cup oil and I fill it.
Mason: "This looks like important stuff. Oh yeah, it is because oil, gas and coal are non-renewable!"

Project Remodel: The Half-way Point
I finally have some updated pictures to show of the progress on our remodel project! We still have a ways to go but this is where things stand:
Now:
The Kitchen and Dining Room
Before:
In the process:
Now:
What's been Done:
Tore out vinyl flooring in kitchen and carpet in dining room and replaced with hand-scraped walnut, sand and finish flooring.
Replaced white appliances (except the oven-still working on that one) with stainless steel appliances. Went from my tiny 16 cu.ft fridge to a 25 cu.ft side by side.
What's left: Not much. Some cosmetic updates to the cabinets, but everything else is pretty well staying for now. Can't do it all....
The Master Bathroom
Before:
Now:
What's been done:
Tore out vinyl flooring and replaced with travertine.
Built out and framed in larger tub.
Covered tub with travertine.
Installed backsplash of tumbled travertine stone and glass insets.
Replaced formica countertops with black granite.
Replaced old white sink with new biscuit colored sink.
Replaced old silver faucet with oil-rubbed bronze Moen faucet.
What's Still left: Refinishing cabinets and repainting, replacing tub faucet, replacing all silver/gold hardware with oil rubbed bronze (towel racks, toilet paper holder, light fixture, hand towel holder....)
Okay people, I'm out of time so I will put the other updates on tomorrow or so. I have pictures of the other bathroom, the entryway, and Savannah's new room as well! At least I got something posted ;)
