Toddler Trouble

I think any mom will tell you that it always amazes them that children raised in the same house, with the same parents, are each so different.

My little Jaxon is a different breed than my older 2 children. He is much more mischevious and into everything than Mason and Savannah ever were. Just when you think you have this mom thing down, one of your kids reminds you that you always have to be on your toes.

Jaxon is almost 18 months, and boy, has he learned how to climb. Often I will hear him hollaring from the other room, "Uh Oh!" or "Aht!" (OUT!) and when I go to see where he is, he is on top of the table, on the bathroom counter, or somewhere else that he can get onto but not down from.

Today I was straightening the house when I realized I hadn't heard him for a while, which is never a good sign! I went to look for him and found him in the bathroom. This is what I found:

Not only had he climbed onto the counter, but he proceeded to empty out the drawers onto the floor (as you can see), climb into the drawer (with a pencil, no less) and draw his masterpiece all over the counter. He was very proud of his accomplishment!

And just think-Im adding another mischeivious boy to the mix any day now :)

Wow! Those are some rather impressive climbing skills! Not to mention, the astonishing strength of your bathroom drawers! ;)

That is so funny. I laugh because I am going through the same thing. I have a 18 month old and a 3 1/2 year old and they are into everything. Last week they were in the coal stove 3 times, and they poured Apple shampoo all over the floor.

HeHe! I guess one good thing with girls is they don't climb onto things. Sounds like you have your hands full! Good Luck!!!

I can not believe how much he reminds me of Brightyn! Brightyn is constantly doing something like that or climbing just like you were describing. We went to church a couple weeks ago for a charity bake sale auction and brightyn got into the primary room and Ryan found his getting ready to jump off the top of the piano!!!

You weren't joking. Imagine if we lived closer and he and Keller were together. I swear that post could have been about him. Good thing Keller hasn't discovered sitting in the drawers. I'm not sure ours are as strong as yours.
And Pammie makes the toothpaste masterpieces on the counter at our house.

I was blog surfing and came across yours....it's hilarious to see your son in the bathroom! It made me realize I'm not alone in all the crazyiness with kids! The pictures are priceless!
